Terms of use

One person's portfolio, not a shop — so this is short, in plain English, and says exactly what it means.

01 What this site is

A personal site published by Jesvi Jonathan, showing music and software I have made. There is no account to create, nothing to buy and no service running behind it — it is a set of static pages describing work that exists elsewhere.

Reading it means you are fine with what is on this page. If you are not, the browser's back button costs nothing.

02 What is mine

The writing, the design, the code behind this site, the records and the artwork are mine unless a page says otherwise, and copyright applies to all of it in the ordinary way. In practice that comes down to three things.

  • Linking is always fine. Any page, any section, no permission needed, no attribution asked for.
  • Quoting is fine if it is clearly a quote and it points back here.
  • Republishing is not. Don't reupload the music, lift the copy, clone the site or sell any of it — and please don't feed it to something that will.

The open-source projects are the exception, and deliberately so: each repository carries its own licence on GitHub, that licence is the one that governs that code, and it is almost always more permissive than this page. If you want to use the code, read the licence, not this.

03 Other people's services

Parts of this site reach out to services I don't run — Spotify and Apple Music for the records, YouTube for video, GitHub for the source. Following one of those links, or letting a preview play, means dealing with that company on their terms, under their privacy policy. I can't speak for what they do, and I can't promise they will be up.

The privacy notice lists exactly which of them this site touches and when.

04 Working together

Everything on the site about what I do, how long it takes or what it costs is a description of the kind of work I take on. It is not an offer, a quote or a fixed price, and nothing on a web page can commit either of us to anything.

Actual projects start with a written agreement covering scope, what gets delivered, the timeline, how many rounds of revision are included, who owns what at the end, and the fee. Until that exists and we have both said yes to it, there is no engagement — which protects you at least as much as it protects me.

05 What I don't promise

The site is offered as it is. The numbers on it — streams, downloads, stars — come from the platforms that report them and are correct as of the last time I updated the page, not as of this second. Links rot, embeds change, services go down.

So: no warranty that everything here is complete, current or reachable, and no liability for anything that follows from relying on it, as far as the law allows. If you spot something wrong, telling me is genuinely useful.

06 Where I am

I am based in Chennai, India, and that is where this site is published from. Indian law applies to it and to anything on this page.

07 Changes

These terms get updated when something about the site changes — a new section, a different service embedded, work that is no longer accurate to describe the old way. Whatever is on this page is the version that applies, and the date at the top of it tells you when it was last touched.
